Actions that can be performed against remote clients
with Remote Connection Analyzer
As a part of our cutting edge customer support, Crow
Canyon provides an intuitive
tool known as Remote Connection Analyzer to troubleshoot
connection issues in CCS Network Inventory. If you are experiencing any problems while
using our Inventory product, download this tool,
run it on your machines and send the results back to us for analysis.
Remote Connection Analyzer allows
you to perform the following operations on your remote clients:

Can ping
machine under 1500ms
- This action will try to ping
the remote client under 1500ms. If the remote client does
not respond under 1500ms, the program will immediately
stop all further remote actions.

Can
connect to registry admin key
- This action will try to connect
remotely to remote host registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
key.

Can
connect to ADMIN$ share
- This action will try to access
the ADMIN$ share (c:\%windir%\) location via file
level. (File and Print sharing must be enabled).

Is machine
part of a domain
- This action will check for
member of domain existence.

Root
Directory
- This action will check where
the operating system is installed, e.g. c:\ or d:\
drive etc.

Windows
Directory
- This action will check where
%windir% variable is installed by the operating system,
(Path).

DCOM Installed
(RPC)
- This action will check if DCOM
service (RPC) is installed and started.

Map Network
Drive - C$
- This action will try to
map a network drive C$ against REMOTE client.
The action will also disconnect the drive if success.

Domain
Admin privilege
- This action will check if your
LOCAL computer has domain admin privilege against the REMOTE
client and also your LOCAL computer against your domain
name.

Can retrieve
installed apps list
- This action will try to query
REMOTE client and your LOCAL for installed applications
registry key. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE)

Current
logged on user info
- This action will get detailed
information about your REMOTE client current logged
in user. (Domain, Username etc…).

Operating
system type
- This action will query your
REMOTE client for its operating system type,
e.g. WORKSTATION, SERVER etc…

Service
pack version
- This action will query
service pack version and name.

Internet
Explorer version
- This action will query Internet
Explorer version.

OS name
- This action will query operating
system name.

Is netbios
over tcpip enabled
- This action will check NETBIOS
over TCP/IP existence.

MAC address
- This action will return MAC
address.

Is registry
accessible via remote regsvc
- This action will check Remote
Registry Service is started and Installed. (NT4).

SystemRoot
variable value
- This action will query SystemRoot
variable.

Is any
interactive logged on user
- This action will check if any
current logged on user exists.

Is local
logged on user administrator
- This action will check your
LOCAL computer current logged in user for local administrator
privilege.

registry service started
- This action will check if Remote
Registry service is started.

Is browser
service started
- This action will check if Browser
service is started.

Is winmgmt
service started
- This action will check if WMI
service is started.

Is eventLog
service started
- This action will check if EventLog
(Windows) service is started.

audit service started
- This action will check if EventLog
Audit service is started.

Is remote
desktop service started
- This action will check if Remote
Desktop service is started.

management service started
- This action will check if Network
Management 2.0 service is started.

- This action will check if Remote
Shutdown Pro service is started.
