Remote Connection Analyzer - Quick Start Guide

Using Remote Connection Analyzer:


To scan your machines, perform the following steps:

1. Click the First Step tab

 

2. Type in the name of the remote machine that you want to check in the Machine Name textbox.

 

3. Click Run Now button to start the scanning process.

 

4. The scanning process will now begin; the progress indicator will show the progress of the scan process.

 

5. When the scanning process finishes you will be automatically switched to the Remote Results Tab. You can also do it by clicking the Remote Results Tab to see the scan results of the remote machine.

 

6. Expand the Default Analyzing node to see the default analyzing details.

 

7. It will show you the basic scan results (OS name, version, service pack version etc.).

.

 

8. Expand the File Exists node to see the details about the existence of the important files that can affect the working of the Inventory program.

 

9. It will show you the results of the existence of file check on remote machine.

 

10. Expand the Service Running node to see the status details of the services that can affect the working of the Inventory program.

 

11. It will show you different information about the status of different services.

 

12. Switch to the Local Results Tab.

 

13. Repeat the steps from 6 to 11 see the details of the scan results on local machines.

 

Exporting Analyzer Results

To export analyses results in Remote Connection Analyzer, do the following:

1. Click the Export Analyses Results button.

 

2. Browse dialog box will appear. Browse to the location where you want to export the data.

 

 

3. Click OK button.

 

4. This will export the scan results to the selected location.

 

Sending Analyzer Results

To send analyzer results to Crow Canyon support, do the following:

1. Click the Send Analyzer Results button.


 

2. This will launch your default email application to send the scan results as an attachment.

 

 

You can now send the scan results to support@crowcanyon.com for analysis.
